OUR STORY

Welcome to Marlins Rugby Club, one out of two official Unisel rugby club, established in 2004. We are dedicated to provide a supportive and encouraging environment for our student-athletes to excel both on and off the field.

At Marlins Rugby Club, we believe that rugby is not just a sport, it’s a way of life. We actively participate in local tournaments and organize friendly matches throughout the year, showcasing our passion and commitment to the sport.

Over the years, we have participated in several KRS league tournaments and have won the champion title in the Bowl category in 2017. We take great pride in our commitment to sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and personal growth.

Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the field. We believe that education is equally important to sports. That’s why our slogan is “Tackle Hard, Study Smart”. Our club provides a supportive and encouraging environment for our student-athletes to excel both academically and athletically.

In addition to our commitment to rugby and education, we also prioritize our values of inclusivity and equality. In 2016, we established our girls rugby team, expanding our commitment to equality and inclusivity in the sport.

We also celebrate the achievements of our alumni by performing the ceremonial hakka during convocation ceremonies. This tradition not only showcases our pride in our alumni but also serves as a reminder of the values that we hold dear at Marlins Rugby Club.
